Five decades of dedication
In 2021, TMPK celebrated its Golden Jubilee — 50 years of uninterrupted service to the Mising community. Despite the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, the organisation mounted a year-long programme of commemorative events, cultural showcases and community outreach.
The celebrations were inaugurated at the Higher Secondary field in Jonai Bazar, with the presence of Assam ministers, MLAs and thousands of well-wishers. The milestone reaffirmed five decades of dedication to education, culture, rights and welfare of the Mising people.
The Golden Jubilee served as both a celebration of past achievements and a renewed commitment to the struggles that lie ahead — from the Sixth Schedule demand to the preservation of Mising identity in a changing world.
